One day, Maomao said his head hurt and didn't go to the kindergarten. But suddenly his headache disappeared. He didn't want to stay in the house. So he went out to catch butterflies.
He woke up a big wolf sleeping in the grass. The wolf looked at Maomao and thought, "Hmm, he looks delicious! He must be keeping himself away from the school."
The big wolf went up quietly, with its red and long tongue out. Maomao looked at it. The big wolf said hello to him, but when it considered him, it felt surprised. "His face is dirty! His hands are full of mud! If I eat him, I will be sick! I have to wash him before eating!" thought the big wolf.
The big wolf ran home and boiled a basin of water. After that, he took the basin, a towel and a piece of soap to the grass. "Oh! I need a brush to wash him." He hurried home with things left on the grass.
Seeing that, Maomao thought, "Does the wolf want to set up a bath house?" He poured out the water and used the mud to make a boat. The big wolf went back and saw Maomao dirtier. "Oh, no! I have to boil the water again! Even a piece of soap isn't enough! And the brush has to be bigger!" He rushed home with the basin.
The children went back home. Maomao followed them to go back home. His mother washed him and he became clean.
The big wolf boiled the water. He took a bigger piece of soap and a bigger brush. He went back to the grass but couldn't find Maomao.
Some children came over with Maomao among them. The big wolf pretended to smile and said, "Where's the dirty boy? I come to wash him!" "Why do you come to wash him?" said the children. "Because I can't eat a dirty boy!"
"Ah! He says he wants to eat a boy!" shouted the children. "Of course! and I will eat you all!" The big wolf went to eat them.
But the children were faster. They pulled the wolf down and rode it. "You bad children! I'm a wolf, not a horse!" But it didn't work. The wolf couldn't move.
Maomao called the police. Soon two police cars came and took the wolf to the zoo.
