For many years I had never thought I would be a teacher, with a stereotypical view that teaching is a boring and unpromising job. However, seven years ago, fate led me to become an English teacher in a K-12 after-school tutoring enterprise. Until now, I have worked in education for 7 years.
During these years, I rotate around different jobs, including English teaching, the management of English teaching in a school and the teaching management of a whole school.
Nevertheless, I would rather define myself as an English learner or an English prophet.
When I mention my job to some of my friends at the first time, their puzzled expressions seem to say, "Wow, it is cool, but what is it?"
My current job is not a routine, but a stage where I dance with my lifelong fellow - English.
Behind every word is there a story. Every time I come across a new word, I just cannot wait to lift the veil before it.
There is an interesting formula for the importance of English:
Google + Wikipedia + English = Almost Everything
Actually, English is more than a language, but a magic stick with which we can look more closely at what happens in every corner of the world. Moreover, it also provides us with a fresh perspective to the ordinary things. For me, it is also such a great fulfillment that I can help the people around me to explore the pure joy of English learning and teaching.
When it comes to the question that what my ideal job is, the answer is simple:
My purpose of living in the world is that I want to uncover as many truths of the world as possible and help as many people as I can to increase their vitality.
Therefore, no matter what jobs fall on me, I just take them as the gifts bestowed upon me by god. I will surrender to them.
