在圖形模型構(gòu)建器中建立模型

To resize a panel or window:
- Place the cursor at the edge of the window or panel.
- When the cursor turns into a two-headed arrow (?) hold down the left mouse button and drag the side until the desired size is reached.
To move a window:
- Place the cursor in the title bar.
- Hold down the left mouse button.
- Drag the window to a new location.
NOTE: Panels change shape when they are moved to the main graphical model builder window or the pane on the left side of the window. The colors and sizes of the blocks in the catalogue cannot be changed.
Setting up the Model in the Graphical Model Builder
To build a model in the GMB, the user drags and drops the model elements from the “SMOCPro Library Catalogue” into the main model window. Then the user adds detailed (block by block) information in the respective dialog boxes. Remember that the basic elements needed for a model are provided in the SMOCPro library. However, in the cases when customized elements are needed for a particular model, the user can build such customized blocks into a new catalogue.
To start building the process model:
- Select the element you need from the catalogue window, for example an MV input block.
2.Drag it to the model builder window.
3.Use the connector tool on the toolbar or select Connector from the Draw menu to connect the various elements.
You can use the property sheet or a pop-up dialog box to edit information for a given element. For example, consider editing the MV Input block for a given tag 35V01 (reboil).
To use the property sheet:
1.Click on the element to select it.
2.Select the View menu, then the Property Sheet… submenu and ensure that the information for the selected block is properly displayed. - Add or edit any of the information not greyed out in the property sheet.
To use the pop-up dialog box:
- Double click on the 35V01 block.
- When the properties dialog box appears, add or edit any of the information, for example, name the block as “35V01” and enter “Reboil” for the description.
- Click OK to validate your changes and return to the model builder window.
The Add Transform button is explained in a later section called “Using Transforms for Model Building.”
This same approach can be used to edit Transfer Function blocks (see “Library Window Menus”). Staying with the previous example, consider the dialog box that appears when you double-click on the transfer function between the reboil (35V01) and the “Top Temperature” (35T01) of an arbitrary column.
