It is really interesting to relate all the English names of genres to Chinese. Especially those new genres, in my eyes, like alternate history, chick lit and paranormal romance. Isn’t it?
These sub-types? are divided into precise categories. You may surprised by that as I did. It always feels good to know a bit of everything.:)
Anyway, back to my reading plan. My friend did gave me quite a few books last week, fiction, non-fiction. In fact, I chose them from her bookshelves.
There are five books in Chinese:
《這么慢,那么美》by 羅敷
<As I Lay Dying> Novel by William Faulkner
<Snow Country> Novel by Yasunari Kawabata
<The Plague> Novel by Albert Camus
< All the Light We Cannot See> Novel by Anthony Doerr
Two novels in English written by Jane Austin:
*<Northanger Abbey>*
*<Sense and Sensibility>*
The rests are reference book for English learning.
*<The Little, Brown Handbook with Chinese notes>*
*<English Grammar in Use, Elementary>*
*<English Grammar in Use, Intermediate>*
*<English Grammar in Use, Advanced>*
*<Vocabulary Workshop 1>*
*<Vocabulary Workshop 2>*
*<Behind the English Words>*
I quite enjoy the last book. I guess I will keep reading the last one but the others.. I am not sure when I will finish reading them. I will try my best…
So…Considering my agenda on August, my reading plan is as follows…
1. <Behind the English Words>
2. <Northanger Abbey> by Jane Austen
3. <Reinventing Your Life> by Jeffery Young
Feel free to read books not on the lists, which I am certain that I definitely will…. = =
