Skiing is my favorite sport, even though I have only skied for four days in my whole life.
滑雪是我最喜歡的運動淌实，即使在我整個人生中我僅僅滑過四天雪。
Last year my father promised to take me on a holiday if I did well in my exams.
去年我爸爸許諾：如果我在考試中取得好成績焚鹊，他就帶我去度假刃宵。
When I got straight A's, Dad said, "How about? a weekend at the Botanical Garden?"
當我考試取得全優(yōu)時衡瓶，爸爸說：“周末去植物園如何？”
However, my mum said, "No, you promised a special holiday. I think you ought to keep your word."
但是牲证，我媽媽說：“不哮针，你許諾了一個特別的假期的。我認為你應該遵守諾言坦袍∈幔”
And, despite the expense, he did.
于是，盡管費用不菲捂齐，他還是遵守了諾言蛮放。
My dream was to see some real snow, so in the Christmas vacation we flew to Seoul, South Korea, and then took a shuttle bus which runs back and forth between Seoul and Muju Resort.
我的夢想是看見真正的雪，因此圣誕節(jié)我們飛往韓國首爾辛燥，然后坐首爾-茂朱度假區(qū)的往返巴士筛武。
As the bus climbed through the mountains, we saw the snow on the trees, I was dying to get out and play with it!
當巴士穿過山脈時缝其，我們看見了樹上的雪挎塌，我渴望著下車去玩雪！
At last, we reached the resort quickly scrambled out of the bus.
終于内边，我們到達了景區(qū)榴都，飛快地擠下車。
No one in my family had ever touched snow before.
在這以前我們家沒有一個人觸摸過雪漠其。
We were all like little children---we picked it up, make snowballs and throw them at each other!
我們就像小孩子一樣---把雪撿起來嘴高，做成雪球，然后彼此扔給對方和屎！
Then we checked in at the hotel.
接著我們到達酒店登記入住拴驮。
Our room overlooked one of the ski slopes.
我們的房間高聳于其中一個滑雪山坡。
The slope was floodlit, so we watched people skiing until 10 PM.
山坡被燈光照亮著柴信，我們看人們滑雪看到晚上10點鐘套啤。
We could not wait to try it ourselves.
我們迫不及待地想要自己親自嘗試。
The next day we had our first skiing lesson.
第二天我們上了我們的第一節(jié)滑雪課随常。
We rented our ski suits, boots and skis, and went outside onto the snow.
我們租了滑雪衣潜沦、靴子和滑雪板萄涯，去到外面雪地上。
Wearing skis for the first time makes you feel very strange.
第一次穿戴滑雪板會讓你感覺非常奇怪唆鸡。
Suddenly you will find you cannot even walk.
你會突然發(fā)現(xiàn)你甚至連路都不會走了。
Our instructor took us onto a gentle slope, and showed us some basic skills.
我們的教練把我們帶到了一個平緩的山坡上争占，并且給我們展示了一些基本技巧。
In order to go up a hill, you have to stand sideways, and go up step by step.
為了登上山燃乍，你得側著身子唆樊，一步一步往上走刻蟹。
You must point the tips of your skis together so that you can stop.
你必須把滑雪板頂端對準在一起，以便你能停下來舆瘪。
However, the tips must not cross, or you will fall.
但是兩個頂端不能交叉，否則你會摔倒英古。
You should not ski alone in case you fall and get injured.
你不可以單獨一個人滑雪淀衣，以防摔倒受傷召调。
To be honest, that first lesson was not very success, and I was kept falling down!
老實說膨桥，第一課不是很成功，我一直在摔倒唠叛！
However, the next day I definitely improved. I only fell over a few times, and I managed to do a few longer runs.
但是只嚣，第二天我進步很大。我只摔倒了幾次艺沼，而且我還設法滑得更遠册舞。
I felt pleased with myself, and the instructor congratulated me, so I felt great.
我對自己非常滿意，連教練都祝賀我障般，因此我感覺棒極了调鲸。
Although it was very cold, I spent most of that holiday skiing.
盡管天氣很冷，但是那個假期我大部分時間都在滑雪挽荡。
It was the most wonderful time of my life.
那是我人生中最美好的時光藐石。
Nevertheless, it was all over too soon. Now I have decided to work part-time this summer, so I can earn enough money for another super skiing holiday.
然而，假期結束得太快定拟。我現(xiàn)在已經(jīng)決定今年暑假做兼職于微，這樣我就能掙夠錢過下一個極棒的滑雪假期。
