Today's UI design theme is a popup or overlay. These are some user interface elements triggered by a mouse hover or click on certain part of a computer screen, with the purpose of providing additional information, or certain functionality.
Some common popups or overlays are: 1. lightbox image gallery: you click on a small image to trigger a bigger image on top of the screen for a better focus; 2. create a new Google email or a Google Calendar invite; 3. open advanced settings.
Recently, I've been working on an interesting app idea that coordinate people in offices to play pingpong matches, so it was quite natural that I thought of that when working on today's UI design. I came to an idea that you can see individual player details on a page with a list of Pingpong players. You can hover on an individual profile image to see the rank, wins and losses for that person.
