Currently, the topic of weather parents should exert some pressure to their children has aroused heatedd discussion. From my perspective, children should not live under pressure since their childhood.
First of all, living under pressure will bring negative effect to the children's growth. Besides the nutrition that children take in, the mental states also palys an essential role that influence children's health. If they live under great pressure since they are young, they would develop a bad temper and even have some mental illnesses. This is a result that no children and their parents could bear.
Secondly, living under pressure when they grow up will do harm to their study. There is no denying that children will get the best result when they study in a peaceful mind. When they are in pressure, their attention will be distracted from the learning material to somewhere else like what their parents have just qurraled about, or what they should do to make enough money for their next meal. As a result, less time and effort is devoted to study and a bad grade will come out. However, if parents can create a worry-free environment where children can focus on study, their grades will definitely be better.
Admittedly, pressure can also bring some good effects to children, since under the proper amount of pressure, children may develop the ability to deal with it. However, no one is sure to have the ability to create such proper environment, and if they fail to do this, disasturous results will happen.
All in all, although to some extent, pressure may bring some good effects, pressure, in general, is a negative factor that will cause unfavorable result. Any responsible parents should not let their children live in such environment.
