invite:to do something that makes something bad or unpleasant more likely to happen.
invite 可以引申為“招致”“誘發(fā)”,當(dāng)表示一件事可能招致批評(píng)她紫、麻煩時(shí)可以用invite. invite后面常接消極意義的詞硅堆,比如:ridicule, criticism, trouble.
