CD regular meeting report

What a hot day the day was. I was glad to see 3 new faces in the meeting, Emily, Rich, and Sophie. Injection of fresh blood made our meeting more active. We hope we can see some new comers in every meeting.
Joke master
The joker was Sunny. Sunny have always took some jokes to us. Usually he would like to tell some jokes about couples. Sometimes he also shared some of his own story. He shared his own stories this time. I like the stories, but I didn’t think they were jokes, they were life experience.
Sunny sold his first painting At a price of 200 yuan in a exhibition. Nobody could understand why, including himself. Because they thought it was so bad that it could’t be called a painting. He was so curious why someone liked his paining. The buyer told him “your painting could cover the hole of the wall, the size of your painting is same to the hole of the wall of my house. so…”.?
Sunny caught a mosquito by hands someday. He was surprised to his skill on catching. He said it would be great that hunting a girlfriend was as easy as catching a mosquito. But one of his friend said that finding a girlfriend was much easier than catching a mosquito.
Impromptu speech
Kaka prepared 3 topics. We all were involved into the speeches.
Rich became a Weather forecaster In the session. He predicted the weather for the next half of the year, meanwhile he also gave some suggestion on body and face skincare. He was such a careful man, we loved his suggestions.
Emily shared the attitude about aging. She said “some people die at 25-year-old and aren’t buried until 75-year-old”. Life is such a thing that it's quite ordinary but passionate. She encourage all of members to live with passion and ideals.
The third topic was what do you learn from the game. Almost all of members who was? present joined this topic like a discussion. Rich thought game is just game, not to be too serious, enjoying is more important than winning from “The Werewolves”(狼人殺）. Sunny thought the game can enrich your knowledge and increase your social ability . Emily learned the team spirit in group games.
Prepared speech
The prepared speaker was Ella, who recommended a famous book to us — <principles>. I ‘d never read this book before. I thought it was necessary to read it after the speech.
In the speech, Ella describes the <principles> spirit, “Principles are ways of successfully dealing with the laws of nature or the laws of life. It is similar with “Dao道” in Chinese. “? She shares her own story that her time is squeezed by her work because she was lack of principles. So everyone should find his own principles in accordance with his core value, then achieve the goal. But the only way we could gain principle is to think independently.
Ella also shared some opinions of the author that she learned from the book. The most fundamental life principles? of the author is “Truth is the essential foundation for producing good outcomes”. Truth is the accurate understanding of reality. The unconventional opinion in book is that deeming people working as machine. He said that those who are most successful are capable of “higher level thinking” —i.e., they are able to step back and design a “machine” consisting of the right people doing the right things to get what they want. They are able to assess and improve how their “machine” works by comparing the outcomes that the machine is producing with the goals. Like this picture illustrated to us.
At the last part of the speech, she mentioned that CD is a good example for this formula. According to the Founder Hudson, he wants that every participant could reward from this club. For achieving this goal, our Great Hudson may have designed our programs. The impromptu speech and prepared speech could help CDers to practice our ability of delivering speech, which is very important to become influential person and output our thoughts. And the two topics for the table discussion should include one related to big news, and another on personal experience and opinion, because ideas in news may give people insights they may use themselves in other conversation, and sharing person experience and opinion question could let others know ourselves in order to make friends. Besides, joke master could give the role players to present them to others, which could be the first step to become prepare speaker, and the minute reporter could improve our writing skills. In addition, Hudson ask us to make CD run without his appearance, but you’ll see if he found if there is something wrong with CD, he would show up and fix the problem to let CD could match its goal. (this part is from the original speech, because I found she explained clearly every session’s meaning in our regular meeting. The other members who didn’t join this meeting can read it again. )
Discussion
We talked about how to survive in? the work place the law of office. No doubt, Kaka chose a good topic that every one have a lot of words to say. Everyone’s work background is so different that everyone faces totally different work pressure. Someone who works in government thinks keeping quiet is very important,? and how to write an article is a kind of big knowledge. Someone who works in the army thinks you should avoid being misleading, keeping learning have critical thinking,? and don’t be vain. Someone who works in the state-owned company thinks sometime we challenge your leader, Sometime we should follow them.
The talking was so active and positive. We enjoyed the talking, shared the life view. Good and warm atmosphere made us? so happy. So we continue to enjoy lunch together after. huh, this part also important to us.
