Part 1 Thoughts
林語堂先生出于對(duì)蘇的極度喜愛扁远,并且非常了解蘇,才有了此書。向全世界展示了一個(gè)非常偉大的中國(guó)詩(shī)人嵌赠。也讓我們了解蘇的同時(shí),了解了蘇的所處的整個(gè)時(shí)代熄赡。
林說蘇東坡最快樂就是寫作之時(shí)姜挺。其實(shí),能為自己非常喜歡的人物寫傳記彼硫,不是也是最快樂的事嗎炊豪?
林語堂也是我非常喜歡的一個(gè)大文豪,不得不佩服他的博學(xué)拧篮。期待后續(xù)的文章词渤。學(xué)點(diǎn)英文,順便讀讀蘇的詩(shī)串绩。

1.Profusion

譯:noun, a very large quantity of sth 大量掖肋,眾多
同義詞:abundance,richness
仿:a profusion of colors 色彩斑斕
Hundreds of flowers are blooming in profusion. 百花怒放赏参。
2.rapacious?
原文:Readers of All Men Are Brothers are acquainted with the quality of this misrule when good,honest men, in order to avoid tax-gatherers or evade the "justice"of rapacious officials, one by one took to the woods and became the much-beloved forest heroes of that novel.
譯:adj. wanting more money or goods than you need 貪婪的志笼;
仿: Rapacious developer soon bought up the land.
3.Vile?[va?l]
原文:When a cause becomes holy , the means used to achieve it inevitably becomes vile.
譯:adj. extremely bad 極壞的
仿:a vile smell 極其惡心的味道
He was in a vile mood.
