愛情小唱（75）
One day I wrote her name upon the strand,
一天，我在海灘邊寫上你的名字贝次，
But came the waves and washed it away:
然而海浪涌來將其洗去崔兴；
Agayne I wrote it with a second hand,
再一次，我用另一只手寫上蛔翅，
But came the tyde, and make my paynes his pray.
然而潮水也再次涌來敲茄，讓我心血成空。
"vayne man," sayd she, "the doest in vaine assay,
“癡心妄想的人吶山析，”她說堰燎，“別再如此徒勞，
A mortall thing so to immortalize,
想讓必凋之物變成永恒笋轨，
For I my selve shall lyke to this decay,
連我自己都會腐朽消亡秆剪，
And eek my name? bee wyped out lykewize.”

To dy in dust, but you shall live by fame:
縱使我們終在塵土消亡洁灵，但你的聲名卻將延續(xù)，
My verse your vertues rare shall eternize.
在我的詩篇中掺出，你不朽的美德終將永生徽千。
And in the heavens? wryte your glorious name,
天堂里將寫上你充滿榮光的芳名，
Where whenas death shall all the world subdew,
雖然死亡終將征服這個世界蛛砰，
Our love shall live, and later life renew."
但我們的愛終將延續(xù)，并在下世獲得重生黍衙。
