《Winnie's Flying Carpet 溫妮的飛毯》女巫溫妮想起了姐姐們送給她的飛毯荚斯。這塊飛毯因?yàn)槔详J禍而被溫妮鎖住關(guān)起來了陨晶。溫妮要怎么處置這塊飛毯呢？
Winnie the Witch was busy writing letters.
女巫溫妮正在寫信蚜点。
They were thank-you letters for her birthday presents.
她要給每一個(gè)送她生日禮物的人寫感謝信。
Now there was only one left, the trickiest letter.
現(xiàn)在只剩下一封讓她最頭痛的一封了拌阴，
Winnie's sisters, Wilma, Wanda, and Wendy, had given her a flying carpet.
溫妮的三個(gè)姐姐绍绘，威兒瑪、溫達(dá)和溫蒂迟赃，送給她一塊飛毯陪拘，
Winnie had always wanted a flying carpet.
她也一直都想要一塊飛毯。
But this flying carpet had been a disappointment.
但這塊飛毯卻讓她很失望纤壁。
Actually, it had been a disaster.
事實(shí)上它幾乎成了一個(gè)禍害左刽。
There was the time it got tangled in Winnie's washing.
有一次，它沖進(jìn)了溫妮晾在外邊的衣服里酌媒。
And the day it tipped over as they were passing a duck pond.
又有一天它飛過鴨子池塘?xí)r翻了個(gè)底朝天欠痴。
And then one day it turned a corner too quickly.
還有一天它忽然來了個(gè)急轉(zhuǎn)彎迄靠。
After that, Winnie rolled up the carpet, tied it with string...
之后，溫妮只好把飛毯卷了起來喇辽，用繩子捆住……
put it in the broom cupboard, and locked the door.
然后把它收起來放到裝掃帚的柜子了掌挚，并且鎖上了柜門。
But Winnie wanted to write something nice about the carpet in her thank-you letter.
但溫妮還是想在感謝信里寫點(diǎn)飛毯的好話菩咨。
She unlocked the cupboard, untied the? carpet, and spread it on the armchair.
于是它打開柜子吠式，解開飛毯的繩子，把它鋪在扶手椅上抽米。
It is a beautiful carpet, she thought.
真是一塊漂亮的飛毯特占，溫妮想。
It seems a pity not to use it.
就這樣放著不用實(shí)在太可惜了云茸。
So Winnie decided to give it one more chance.
溫妮決定再給它一次機(jī)會是目。
Just then, the door bell rang.
突然門鈴響了。
DING! DONG! Winnie hurried off to answer it...
溫妮連忙跑去開門查辩∨值眩……
Just as Wilbur came inside.
就在這時(shí)，威爾伯進(jìn)來了宜岛。
After a busy morning climbing trees and chasing butterflies, he was ready for a sleep.
他整個(gè)早上都在爬樹追蝴蝶长踊，現(xiàn)在想好好地睡一覺。
The sun was shining on the flying carpet.
陽光照在飛毯上萍倡。
It looked so warm and comfortable.
看起來那么溫暖舒適身弊。
Wilbur jumped up and in one minute he was snoring.
威爾伯跳到飛毯上，不到一分鐘就打起了呼嚕列敲。
The flying carpet waited one more minute.
飛毯先靜靜地等了一小會阱佛。
Then it rose gently into the air. Wilbur didn't wake up.
然后慢慢升到半空中，威爾伯沒醒戴而。
It flew gently around the room. Wilbur didn't wake up.
飛毯又在房間里慢慢繞起了圈凑术，威爾伯還是沒有醒。
Then it zoomed out of the window. Wilbur woke up.
接著所意，飛毯嗖地一下飛出了窗外淮逊，這下威爾伯醒了。
"Meeoow!" he cried. Winnie heard him.
“喵嗚扶踊！”他叫道泄鹏，溫妮聽到威爾伯的叫聲。
She looked up, just in time to see the flying carpet zoom up into the sky.
她抬起了頭秧耗，正好看到飛毯沖上了天备籽。
"Oh no!" cried Winnie.
“噢，不分井！”溫妮大喊车猬。
She grabbed her magic wand and her broomstick,
她一把抓起魔法棒騎上飛天掃帚朝飛毯沖了過去霉猛，
Winnie flew as fast as her broomstick could go, but the carpet was faster.
溫妮騎著掃帚以最快的速度追趕飛毯，可飛毯總是比她快一步诈唬。
It swooped over the clock tower, and under a bridge.
飛毯從鐘樓上俯沖下去韩脏，鉆過橋下。
Winnie followed it.
溫妮緊追不舍.
"Hang on tight, Wilbur!" she called.
“抓緊了铸磅，威爾伯赡矢！”她喊道。
"Meeow!" cried Wilbur.
“喵嗚阅仔！”威爾伯大叫吹散。
Then the carpet flew over a funfair. What fun!
接著，飛毯飛到了游樂場上空八酒，真是太好玩了空民！
First it whizzed down the Roller Coaster Rocket.
它先是追著火箭造型的過山車，沖下來羞迷。
Winnie whizzed down behind it.
溫妮只好也跟著沖下來界轩。
Then it tried the Terrible Twister.
接著，它又玩可怕的螺旋滑梯衔瓮。
The flying carpet was having a wonderful time.
飛毯玩得興高采烈浊猾。
Wilbur was having a horrible time.
威爾伯卻被嚇得魂飛魄散。
Winnie was worried. She would never catch them.
溫妮非常著急热鞍，這樣下去她永遠(yuǎn)也追不上他們葫慎。
Then she had an idea.
忽然她想到了一個(gè)主意。
She waved her magic wand, shouted, ABRACADABRA!
她揮動魔法棒薇宠，大喊了一聲”ABRACADABRA!"
... and everything stopped.
所有的東西都停了下來偷办。
Nothing whizzed or zoomed or shrieked or splashed.
沒有嗖嗖聲，沒有嗡嗡聲澄港，沒有尖叫聲椒涯，也沒有噼里啪啦的聲音。
All was still. Including the flying carpet.
一切都靜止了回梧，包括飛毯逐工。
Wilbur jumped onto Winnie's shoulder.
威爾伯趕緊跳上了溫妮的肩膀。
Then Winnie rolled up the flying carpet.
這時(shí)溫妮把飛毯卷了起來漂辐。
"Let's go home, Wilbur," she said.
“威爾伯，我們回家吧棕硫！”她說髓涯。
"By broomstick!" Winnie waved her magic wand backwards.
“騎著掃帚回去！”溫妮揮動著魔法棒哈扮。
ABRACADABRA! she shouted, and everything started again.
大叫一聲：”ABRACADABRA!"一切又重新動了起來纬纪。
Winnie and Wilbur landed in Winnie's garden.
溫妮和威爾伯回到了他們的花園蚓再。
Winnie frowned at the flying carpet.
溫妮愁眉苦臉地看著飛毯。
What would she do with it?
那它怎么辦才好呢包各？
Then Winnie had a wonderful idea.
這時(shí)溫妮想到一個(gè)好主意摘仅。
She shut her eyes, waved her wand, shouted, ABRACADABRA!
她閉上眼睛，揮動魔法棒问畅，大喊一聲：”ABRACADABRA!
...and there, tied to two trees, was a beautiful hammock.
在兩棵樹間出現(xiàn)了一個(gè)吊床娃属。
Winnie and Wilbur climbed in. They were both very tired.
溫妮和威爾伯爬了上去，他們都累壞了护姆。
The hammock rocked gently in the breeze.
吊床在微風(fēng)中輕輕搖擺矾端。
"This is so comfortable, Wilbur," said Winnie.
“真舒服啊，威爾伯卵皂≈让”溫妮說。
But Wilbur didn't hear her. He was already fast asleep.
不過威爾伯沒有聽見她說的話灯变，很快進(jìn)入了夢鄉(xiāng)殴玛。
