當(dāng)年宙斯三兄弟抽簽均分勢力范圍挑辆，宙斯抽得了天空，哈迪斯抽中冥界孝情， 波塞冬就成了一切大海和湖泊的君主鱼蝉。有這么一個(gè)人，他刺瞎了Polyphemus的眼睛箫荡。萬萬沒想到魁亦，Polyphemus是波塞冬的兒子，波塞冬對他進(jìn)行了報(bào)復(fù)羔挡，激起的海浪把他折磨的死去活來洁奈。

A sea broke over him with such terrific fury that the raft reeled again, and he was carried overboard a long way off. He let go of the helm, and the force of the hurricane was so great that it broke the mass half way up, and both sail and yard went over into the sea.

In spite of all this however, he did not lose sight of his raft, but swam as fast as he could towards it, got hold of it, and climbed on board again so as to escape drowning.

連宙斯的女兒雅典娜都看不過去他經(jīng)歷的苦難间唉，對他暗中相助。為了得到回家的指引利术，他求見過冥王哈迪斯呈野。 從女妖錫西手下救出同伴，還獲得了她的幫助印叁；與一天三次吐水的Charybdis和Scylla擦肩而過被冒，應(yīng)該是他離死神最近的一次了，這個(gè)Scylla 長什么樣子呢喉钢？十二只腳姆打，六個(gè)粗脖子，你可以看圖感受一下他當(dāng)時(shí)的處境：

荷馬是這樣為我們講述的：

Then we entered the Straits in great for of mind, for on the one hand was Scylla, and on the other hand Charybdis kept sucking up the salt water. As she vomited it up, it was like the water in a cauldron when it is boiling over upon a great fire, and the spray reached the top of the rocks on either side. When she began to suck again, we could see the water all inside whirling round and round, and it made a deafening sound as it broke against the rocks. We could see the bottom of the whirlpool all black with sand and mud, and the men were at their wits ends for fear. While we were taken up with this, and were expecting each moment to be our last, Scylla pounced down suddenly upon us and snatched up my six best men.

可是肠虽，就這樣幔戏，他還是活了過來。

Calypso將他囚禁多年依然沒有改變他回家的意志税课。Calypso 能讓他永葆青春闲延，并告訴他前方困難重重，想借此留下他還說：我可以毫不過分的夸贊我自己韩玩，無論身段還是體態(tài)都比她（他的妻子）好垒玲，因?yàn)橐粋€(gè)凡間女人的樣貌，是怎么也 比不上一位不朽的神的找颓。但是他說了這樣一句話：

I am quite aware that my wife perhaps is noting like so tall or so beautiful as yourself. She is only a woman, where as you are immortal. Nevertheless, I want to get home, and can think of nothing else. If some god wrecks me when I am on the sea, I will bear it and make the best of it.?

對百般苦難泰然處之合愈，真英雄也！他就是我們今天的主角击狮，奧德賽佛析。

奧德賽并不萬能，他能度過這么多艱險(xiǎn)彪蓬，離不開人們的指引和幫助寸莫。孔子有言：君子敬而無失档冬，與人恭而有禮膘茎，四海之內(nèi)皆兄弟也。奧德賽做到了酷誓。這樣一個(gè)叱咤風(fēng)云的人物披坏，并不盛氣凌人，相反盐数，正是他恭而有禮的態(tài)度刮萌，讓他回到了故土。

在經(jīng)歷上述苦難之后娘扩，他終于到了回家的最后一站：Phaeacian着茸。

在這個(gè)城邦中，他一言一行都格外謹(jǐn)慎琐旁。他在問路時(shí)所用的語言都格外謙和涮阔。“My dear, will you be so kind as to show me the house of king Alcinous? I am an unfortunate foreigner in distress and do not know one in your town and country.”注意他在這里對自己的描述灰殴。 一個(gè)戰(zhàn)勝特洛伊的英雄不過是個(gè)foreigner敬特，對于這個(gè)城的人，他無關(guān)緊要牺陶。

這令我想起來明朝的將軍藍(lán)玉伟阔。洪武二十四年，藍(lán)玉總七萬兵馬掰伸，定西番皱炉，平滅月魯帖木兒之叛。功成還師狮鸭，藍(lán)玉被加銜為“太子太傅”合搅。聞此，他怏怏不樂歧蕉，說：“我的功勞難到不能當(dāng)太師嗎灾部！” 他這句話終于為自己引來了殺身之禍。

這是兩個(gè)戰(zhàn)勝將軍的對比惯退。其人生格局高下立判赌髓。

堂堂Ithaca的國王，在請求他人時(shí)的姿態(tài)是這樣的（如圖）：

荷馬是這樣為我們描述的：Then he laid his hands upon the knees of the queen. 雖然此前雅典娜交代說催跪，F(xiàn)irst find the queen. 可是他在拜托女王時(shí)锁蠕，也顧及到了在場的其他人：

"Queen Arete, daughter of great Rhexenor, in my distress, I humbly pray you, as also your husband and these your guests to help me home to my own country as soon as possible"

如此一來誰也不會被得罪了。

我們古代歷史上的哲學(xué)家朱熹說：存天理叠荠，滅人欲匿沛。以此來達(dá)到圣人的境地。但是后來王守仁打破了他的這一理念——他悟出來榛鼎，“天理就是人欲”逃呼。圣人也有自己的需求。這在奧德賽說的話語中也有所體現(xiàn)：

Nevertheless, let me sup in spite of sorrow, for an empty stomach is a very important thing, and thrust it on man's notice no matter how dire is his distress. I am in great trouble, yet it insist that I shall eat and drink, bids me lay aside all memory of my sorrows and dwell only on the due replenishing of itself.?

不論他再怎么是英雄人物者娱，仍然會被饑餓所折磨抡笼。而他并不掩蓋自己這一簡單的需求，直接表明黄鳍，我雖然特別傷心推姻，但是我還是要吃東西。承認(rèn)自己的人欲框沟，他也從來沒有把自己看作是什么圣人藏古，不過是凡人之一增炭。

除了謙卑之外，他很顧及別人的感受拧晕。當(dāng)Arete責(zé)怪自己的女兒沒有直接把奧德賽帶回家時(shí)隙姿，奧德賽說這不怪她，是他自己ashamed and afraid厂捞。

最后還有一個(gè)細(xì)節(jié)值得注意输玷。奧德賽的兒子Telemachus第一次見到Menelaus的宮廷之后非把自己的感受說出來： Everything is so splendid that it is like seeing the place of Olympian Jove. I am lost in admiration! ?但是在奧德賽見到Alcinous 美麗的宮殿時(shí)，他只是佇立良久觀賞一番足以：So here Ulysses stood for a while and looked about him, but when he had looked long enough he crossed the threshold and went within the precincts of the house. 王者不辯靡馁，辯則少威焉欲鹏。智者訥言，訥則惑敵焉臭墨。勇者無語赔嚎，語則怯行焉。

孔子有云“知者不惑裙犹，仁者不憂尽狠，勇者不懼∫镀裕”這些袄膏，亦是奧德賽穿過千古散發(fā)出的光。
