我曾經(jīng)說過，對(duì)語言的情緒鏈接，是深入學(xué)習(xí)語言的關(guān)鍵馁菜，今天的原版書閱讀是19世紀(jì)英國女作家艾米莉·勃朗特的《呼嘯山莊》智嚷，這部奇特而飽受爭議的作品猜嘱，以此為例對(duì)語言進(jìn)行分析。

艾米莉·勃朗特点晴，（Emily Jane Bronte坠陈，1818年7月30日－1848年12月19日），19世紀(jì)英國作家與詩人，著名的勃朗特三姐妹 之一馒疹，世界文學(xué)名著《呼嘯山莊 》的作者腥刹。這部作品是艾米莉·勃朗特 一生中唯一的一部小說朽色，奠定了她在英國文學(xué)史 以及世界文學(xué)史 上的地位梢褐。

《呼嘯山莊》是一部帶有奇幻色彩的文學(xué)作品鱼响，男女主人公都不是傳統(tǒng)意義上的好人铛纬，他們自私任性擒悬，甚至性格暴虐归苍，他們的個(gè)性更多的是未經(jīng)開化的野蠻人狀態(tài)，也許是這段故事發(fā)生的地點(diǎn)位于英格蘭荒涼風(fēng)大的曠野有關(guān)。為了愛情垄懂，他們的所作所為令人瞠目結(jié)舌仔雷，但是他們的愛情卻極為真摯脑融，超越生死妓布，無關(guān)性欲加叁，比任何文明人的愛情都更純粹它匕，令人感動(dòng)。

伊莎貝拉趁亂逃了出來，來到倫敦郊外桑逝，不久生了一個(gè)男孩棘劣，取名埃德加·希斯克利夫。辛德雷在凱瑟琳死后不到半年便酗酒而死楞遏，而他的兒子哈里頓落入希斯克利夫的掌心茬暇，希斯克利夫在孩子身上進(jìn)一步實(shí)施報(bào)復(fù)，12年后寡喝，伊莎貝拉病死他鄉(xiāng)糙俗，希斯克利夫接回兒子，但卻非常厭惡他预鬓。

希斯克利夫趁埃德加病危之際巧骚，將凱蒂接來，并強(qiáng)迫她與兒子結(jié)婚。幾天后劈彪，埃德加死去竣蹦，希斯克利夫又成了畫眉田莊的主人。小希斯克利夫婚后不久也悄然死去沧奴。

這段梗概內(nèi)容完備贱呐。但是有一些觀點(diǎn)太過主觀丧诺，我不能認(rèn)可：首先凱瑟琳并不天真幼稚。從始至終奄薇，她都愛著希斯克利夫驳阎，如果天真幼稚的話，她應(yīng)該跟隨自己的內(nèi)心馁蒂，選擇希斯克利夫呵晚。她卻因?yàn)楹ε吕碗A層，選擇了跟自己同階層的埃德加沫屡，放棄了深愛的希斯克利夫饵隙，最終導(dǎo)致自己的悲劇。這說明她的思維很現(xiàn)實(shí)沮脖，是深思熟慮之后的考慮癞季，以她的年齡來看劫瞳，算是非常成熟。她的個(gè)性頑強(qiáng)绷柒，任性卻無法掌控全局。她和埃德加婚后過的也算幸福涮因，因?yàn)槲镔|(zhì)不缺废睦，雖然她內(nèi)心還藏著希斯克利夫。因?yàn)樗淖运胶投桃?/span>养泡，她的悲劇是咎由自取嗜湃。可是澜掩，處于她的階層和地位购披，她并沒有錯(cuò)。她沒有遠(yuǎn)見預(yù)料到跟埃德加結(jié)婚之后肩榕，會(huì)造成自己和希斯克利夫的痛苦及死亡刚陡。她也沒有預(yù)料到希斯克利夫會(huì)瘋狂的報(bào)復(fù)，導(dǎo)致了娘家和夫家的悲劇株汉。她潛意識(shí)里認(rèn)為自己能夠?yàn)樗麨榭鹑椋X得怎么選擇都是她的自由，即使傷害別人了乔妈，都應(yīng)該接受蝙云。可是她高估了自己的能力路召。

埃德加絕不偽善勃刨，他只是懦弱。對(duì)比希斯克利夫決絕的個(gè)性股淡，埃德加人格魅力缺乏身隐，但是他的底色并不偽善。埃德加一開始本該看清凱瑟琳的面目離開她揣非，自己卻無法抗拒凱瑟琳抡医，卻反而去跟她求婚。他不喜歡希斯克利夫早敬，因?yàn)?/span>對(duì)埃德加來說忌傻，希斯克利夫是情敵，自然本能地會(huì)討厭他搞监。但是他作為農(nóng)場主兒子的傲慢授账，導(dǎo)致他小瞧了希斯克利夫，此外由于他的懦弱哭懈，他雖然知道凱瑟琳和希斯克利夫之間的感情嘀韧，卻從來不敢正面迎戰(zhàn)情敵秤标。他認(rèn)真對(duì)待自己喜歡的女孩凱瑟琳，婚后盡全力讓對(duì)方幸福宙刘。凱瑟琳死后苍姜，他把愛寄托到女兒身上。他終生只愛著凱瑟琳悬包，全力撫養(yǎng)她留下的女兒衙猪，而小凱瑟琳是在父親滿滿的愛中長大的，內(nèi)心純良布近。這是全書中除了凱瑟琳和希斯克利夫的愛情之外垫释，唯一溫馨，明亮的情節(jié)撑瞧。這樣一個(gè)人棵譬，不能用偽善來評(píng)價(jià)他。只是他的個(gè)性非常懦弱预伺，缺乏勇氣订咸。在希斯克利夫消失三年回來復(fù)仇時(shí)，他先是看著自己的妹妹跟自己的仇人在一起扭屁，卻沒有用盡力氣去阻止算谈。十幾年后，妹妹死前將兒子小林頓托付給他料滥，他雖然盡力撫養(yǎng)然眼，最終卻不得不眼睜睜地看著自己的侄子被希斯克里帶走，束手無策葵腹。接下來因?yàn)橄Ｋ箍死虻膹?fù)仇高每，要侵吞埃德加家的財(cái)產(chǎn)，非要撮合小凱瑟琳和小林頓践宴，他卻沒有辦法阻止鲸匿，直到抑郁而死，最終小凱瑟琳成為寡婦阻肩。雖然我理解他的無奈带欢，但是我又氣憤他的無所作為。他是一個(gè)理性而溫和的人烤惊，也是很有智慧的人乔煞，但是他卻逐步放任事態(tài)惡化，他內(nèi)心無法擺脫對(duì)自己的束縛柒室。作為一個(gè)男人渡贾，英國在剛開始的時(shí)候，應(yīng)該擺出戰(zhàn)斗的姿態(tài)雄右，不能讓希斯克利夫踐踏自己的底線空骚，把自己逼上絕路纺讲，從而釀成更大的悲劇《谝伲縱觀全書熬甚，他是唯一能夠跟希斯克利夫抗衡的人，可是他卻不戰(zhàn)而敗牺丙，選擇屈服则涯，我實(shí)在不能接受這樣的結(jié)局。可是他對(duì)亡妻一往情深冲簿，他對(duì)女兒傾盡全力地?fù)狃B(yǎng)，以及照顧亿昏，都讓讀者動(dòng)容峦剔。對(duì)比之下，希斯克利夫只在意凱瑟琳角钩，甚至將自己的親生兒子作為工具來報(bào)復(fù)吝沫，毫無舔犢之情。

辛德雷憎恨奪走父愛的希斯克利夫本人递礼，但是讀者卻能夠理解他的行為惨险。

當(dāng)老恩肖先生把希斯克利夫帶回家時(shí)，辛德雷才14歲脊髓。此后辫愉，老恩肖對(duì)希斯克利夫表現(xiàn)出更多的愛，在養(yǎng)子和親子之間有矛盾的時(shí)候将硝，他更多地照顧養(yǎng)子的感受恭朗。這才導(dǎo)致親子對(duì)養(yǎng)子濃烈的恨意，在老恩肖死后依疼，辛德雷反撲痰腮，開始虐待希斯克利夫。而且律罢，不僅是親子關(guān)系膀值，老恩肖先生和妻子的關(guān)系，也因?yàn)轲B(yǎng)子大受影響误辑，最終老恩肖抑郁而終沧踏。我們從一個(gè)孩子辛德雷的角度來說，父親從精神上否定和拋棄自己稀余，對(duì)一個(gè)性格在形成的孩子是有致命打擊的悦冀。雖然我能理解老恩肖作為一個(gè)基督徒的大愛，我也知道萬事難以兩全睛琳，但是這種悲劇性的結(jié)局盒蟆，本來可以避免踏烙，可是老恩肖卻難以取舍。當(dāng)然辛德雷放縱自己的肉體历等，沉溺于妻子死亡的悲劇讨惩，酗酒成癮，虐待希斯克利夫寒屯，最后遭到希斯克利夫報(bào)復(fù)荐捻，失去自己的家園和地位，也是他自己造成的寡夹。可是老恩肖要做一個(gè)好人处面，卻沒有考慮到希斯克利夫的定位和出路，最終導(dǎo)致親子和養(yǎng)子之間水火不容菩掏。所以魂角，做一個(gè)好人，是需要能力的智绸，如果沒有能力的話野揪，就不要參與這些因果。

整篇小說中的一抹亮色瞧栗，就是埃德加和小凱瑟琳之間的父女之愛斯稳。埃德加最愛的是妻子，在妻子死后迹恐，一心一地?fù)狃B(yǎng)女兒挣惰，而且決不讓女兒接觸呼嘯山莊，就是怕受到希斯克里的影響系草。他對(duì)女兒的愛，無私溫情找都，小凱瑟琳在這種愛中成長的很幸福唇辨，內(nèi)心純良。

我更感嘆的是能耻，老恩肖先生和埃德加的對(duì)比赏枚，老恩肖先生把希斯克利夫帶回家，精心撫育他晓猛，把不屬于自己的責(zé)任攬上身饿幅，夫妻關(guān)系，親子關(guān)系都受到了很大的影響戒职，晚年的心情大受影響栗恩，他展現(xiàn)了基督徒的大愛；而埃德加本該堅(jiān)決守護(hù)自己的家庭洪燥，不管是對(duì)他妹妹磕秤，還是對(duì)女兒乳乌，都應(yīng)該盡全力阻止其行為產(chǎn)生的后果，然而該做的事情他沒有全力去做市咆。如果這兩個(gè)人能有上帝視角汉操，看到更遠(yuǎn)的未來，可能所有的一切都會(huì)改變蒙兰。

而故事梗概磷瘤，我更喜歡這種描述：

希斯克利夫心神錯(cuò)亂鸿竖，在哀悼凱凱瑟琳和期待死亡中捱過了20年。他對(duì)周圍一切人都極端輕蔑铸敏、百般折磨缚忧，直到凱瑟琳的幽靈在一個(gè)嚴(yán)冬的雪夜把他召喚到他們最喜愛的荒原上某個(gè)地方，在死亡中重新聚會(huì)杈笔。

這場由愛情悲劇引發(fā)的人格扭曲闪水，最終以希斯克利夫看到年輕人之間的愛情，回憶起自己和凱瑟琳的愛情悲劇蒙具，決定成全他們球榆，而停止復(fù)仇告終朽肥。

作為名著，自然有許多傾盡作者心血的情節(jié)芜果，值得我們仔細(xì)琢磨鞠呈，下面我們來看一下小說中的重要節(jié)選。

1 老恩肖死亡右钾，希斯克利夫失去庇佑蚁吝。

`Why canst thou not always be a good lass, Cathy?' And she turned her face up to his, and laughed, and answered, `Why cannot you always be a good man, father?' But as soon as she saw him vexed again, she kissed his hand, and said she would sing him to sleep. She began singing very low, till his fingers dropped from hers, and his head sank on his breast. Then I told her to hush, and not stir, for fear she should wake him. We all kept as mute as mice a full half-hour, and should have done longer, only Joseph, having finished his chapter, got up and said that he must rouse the master for prayers and bed. `What's that, then?' I retorted, showing a decided purple witness to refute her.

`No,' she persisted, grasping the handle; `not yet, Edgar Linton: sit down; you shall not leave me in that temper. I should be miserable all night, and I won't be miserable for you!'

Ah, I thought, there will be no saving him: he's doomed, and flies to his fate! And so it was: he turned abruptly, hastened into the house again, shut the door behind him; and when I went in a while after to inform them that Earnshaw had come home rabid drunk, ready to pull the whole place about our ears (his ordinary frame of mind in that condition), I saw the quarrel had merely effected a closer intimacy had broken the outworks of youthful timidity, and enabled them to forsake the disguise of friendship, and confess themselves lovers.

I was superstitious about dreams then, and am still; and Catherine had an unusual gloom in her aspect, that made me dread something from which I might shape a prophecy, and foresee a fearful catastrophe. She was vexed, but she did not proceed. Apparently taking up another subject, she recommenced in a short time.

I've no more business to marry Edgar Linton than I have to be in heaven; and if the wicked man in there had not brought Heathcliff so low, I shouldn't have thought of it. It would degrade me to marry Heathcliff now; so he shall never know how I love him: and that, not because he's handsome, Nelly, but because he's more myself than I am. Whatever our souls are made of, his and mine are the same; and Linton's is as different as a moonbeam from lightning, or frost from fire.'

Ere this speech ended, I became sensible of Heathcliff's presence. Having noticed a slight movement, I turned my head, and saw him rise from the bench, and steal out noiselessly. He had listened till he heard Catherine say it would degrade her to marry him, and then he stayed to hear no further. My companion, sitting on the ground, was prevented by the back of the settle from remarking his presence or departure; but I started, and bade her hush!

In her eagerness she rose and supported herself on the arm of the chair. At that earnest appeal he turned to her, looking absolutely desperate. His eyes, wide and wet, at last flashed fiercely on her; his breast heaved convulsively. An instant they held asunder, and then how they met I hardly saw, but Catherine made a spring, and he caught her, and they were locked in an embrace from which I thought my mistress would never be released alive: in fact, to my eyes, she seemed directly insensible. He flung himself into the nearest seat, and on my approaching hurriedly to ascertain if she had fainted, he gnashed at me, and foamed like a mad dog, and gathered her to him with greedy jealousy. I did not feel as if I were in the company of a creature of my own species: it appeared that he would not understand, though I spoke to him; so I stood off, and held my tongue, in great perplexity.

A movement of Catherine's relieved me a little presently: she put up her hand to clasp his neck, and bring her cheek to his as he held her; while he, in return, covering her with frantic caresses, said wildly--

What right--answer me--for the poor fancy you felt for Linton? Because misery and degradation, and death, and nothing that God or Satan could inflict would have parted us, you, of your own will, did it. I have not broken your heart--you have broken it; and in breaking it, you have broken mine. So much the worse for me, that I am strong. Do I want to live? What kind of living will it be when you--oh, God! would you like to live with your soul in the grave?'

They were silent--their faces hid against each other, and washed by each other's tears. At least, I suppose the weeping was on both sides; as it seemed Heathcliff could weep on a great occasion like this.

About twelve o'clock that night, was born the Catherine you saw at Wuthering Heights: a puny, seven months' child; and two hours after the mother died, having never recovered sufficient consciousness to miss Heathcliff, or know Edgar. The latter's distraction at his bereavement is a subject too painful to be dwelt on; its after effects showed how deep the sorrow sunk. A great addition, in my eyes, was his being left without an heir. I bemoaned that, as I gazed on the feeble orphan; and I mentally abused old Linton for (what was only natural partiality) the securing his estate to his own daughter, instead of his son's. An unwelcomed infant it was, poor thing! It might have wailed out of life, and nobody cared a morsel, during those first hours of existence. We redeemed the neglect afterwards; but its beginning was as friendless as its end is likely to be.

`How did she die?' he resumed at last--fain, notwithstanding his hardihood, to have a support behind him; for, after the struggle, he trembled, in spite of himself, to his very finger-ends.

The guest was now the master of Wuthering Heights: he held firm possession, and proved to the attorney--who, in his turn, proved it to Mr Linton--that Earnshaw had mortgaged every yard of land he owned, for cash to supply his mania for gaming; and he, Heathcliff, was the mortgagee. In that manner Hareton, who should now be the first gentleman in the neighbourhood, was reduced to a state of complete dependence on his father's inveterate enemy; and lives in his own house as a servant, deprived of the advantage of wages, and quite unable to right himself, because of his friendlessness, and his ignorance that he has been wronged.

I couldn't abide to be present at their meeting. I stood outside the chamber door a quarter of an hour, and hardly ventured near the bed, then. All was composed, however: Catherine's despair was as silent as her father's joy. She supported him calmly, in appearance; and he fixed on her features his raised eyes, that seemed dilating with ecstasy.

Its owner stood behind; her light, shining ringlets blending, at intervals, with his brown locks, as she bent to superintend his studies; and her face--it was lucky he could not see her face, or he would never have been so steady. I could: and I bit my lip in spite, at having thrown away the chance I might have had of doing something besides staring at its smiling beauty.

I supposed I should be condemned in Hareton Earnshaw's heart, if not by his mouth, to the lowest pit in the infernal regions, if I showed my `unfortunate person in his neighbourhood then; and feeling very mean and malignant, I skulked round to seek refuge in the kitchen. There was unobstructed admittance on that side also, and at the door sat my old friend Nelly Dean, sewing and singing a song; which was often interrupted from within by harsh words of scorn and intolerance, uttered in far from musical accents.

The lattice, flapping to and fro, had grazed one hand that rested on the sill; no blood trickled from the broken skin, and when I put my fingers to it, I could doubt no more: he was dead and stark!
