This year, my parents and I have back to my mother’s hometown. It is a really beautiful village in the countryside.?
Actually it is a challenging trip even for old drivers. Snow mountain, many U-turn roads and most of the time,? it’s more convenient to travel by the electrical motor than a car.
After 3 hours driving, we arrived!! I was so excited cause I haven't seen my gramma for one year. I carry a big smile and lots of gifts rush?into the gate, like the final stick of a racing game. I see my grandma was sitting in her wheelchair. And I greeted to her : "Gramma!! We are back!!"
My grandma didn’t reply me. So I louder my voice and said "Gramma!! Nami is back." She started to stared at me and replied with a smile. "Oh~Welcome back. It is good to back home"??
My cousin, next to her, talked to "Sorry Nami but I think she cannot recognise you now,? like yesterday she can not recognise"
"Oh ye~ You have stay in US for 3 years but I back home every year"
No way, my gramma has lived with us when I was a baby and she also has taken care of me when I in middle school. How could she not remember me?
So I? asked her: "Gramma, it's me. Nami. You can recognise me, right?"
My grandma still smiled at us and say “Sorry, dear. I don’t think so.”
Before I back home, my parents had told me something about her situation. But when it actually happen to me, I was crashed.
While this emotion was interpreted by a lovely question from my aunt :
“Do you have a boyfriend”
You know, it is quite tricky to have a conversation about?relationship status with your relatives.
If my answer is No, I am single. And it gives me the chance to wear a red bow today. they gonna push me to find a someone

These questions are annoying but we all know it kind of Chinese way to show your caring for your relatives.
And my gramma, she really enjoyed it and move her body like this【Acting】.? Now, she is driving a rocking chair rather than a wheelchair. See, this is most amazing part of family gathering time. No participation but still get involved.

We just stay for 1 night. As a tradition, I prepared the Red Pocket for my grandma and told her. "We will back here next holiday." she said “ Don’t give it to me. I don’t need money.”
And I gave her a hug and told her “I will miss you, grandma.”
She holds me harder without saying anything. When I let go of my head, I saw my gramma was wiping the corner of her eyes, and the tears continually well-up from her eyes. And it drops down following the wrinkles of her face.?
At the moment, I was completely?overwhelmed by some complicated emotion, incredibly sad, but feel deeply beloved by my gramma.
Sometimes, people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel, especially the feeling of love.
There are so many traditions for Spring Festival. Red pocket, firework, call for marriage.?
Now, I believe, the most important thing is enjoying the family gathering time. These quality times make us feel beloved and tightly bonded with each other. It is our family, who even not remember you in her mind but still love you deeply in her heart.
