In my last post, I mentioned the English idiom "wake up and smell the coffee".
Here I would like to share another one that also uses the verb smell:
在我的上一文，我提到 wake up and smell the coffee 這個(gè)英文習(xí)語。
這里我要再分享另一個(gè)也同樣用 smell 這個(gè)動詞的：
Stop and smell the roses.
停下來嗅嗅玫瑰花左腔。
This idiom means we should take a break from our busy schedules to appreciate the good things in life.
這個(gè)習(xí)語意思是說我們應(yīng)該在忙碌的日程里稍停，欣賞生活里美好的事。
That said, I have to get back to work now -- I have too often stopped to smell the roses!
話說到此，我必須回去繼續(xù)工作了 -- 我也太常停下來嗅玫瑰了戈擒！
