1、副詞短語（Adverbial phrase）
As soon as Mike received the good news, he called his friends. （逗號前的句子都是描述called這個動詞悍缠，為副詞短語卦绣。)
Only once in a while did the alumni students visit their old school. (副詞短語修飾動詞)
2、名詞短語（Noun phrase）
The man who opened the door 【結(jié)構(gòu)為：主語+形容詞從句飞蚓，此句不是句子迎卤，缺少動詞，而只是名詞短語】
The dog inside the house 【結(jié)構(gòu)為：主語+介詞短語玷坠，缺少動詞蜗搔，是名詞短語】
3、介詞短語（Prepositional Phrase）
可充當(dāng)形容詞或副詞八堡，本身不是句子樟凄。
The red sports car in the driveway was not mine. (前面是名詞，充當(dāng)形容詞)
She was moving into the house next door. (前面是動詞兄渺，充當(dāng)副詞)
