Mr. James Scott has a garage in Silbury and now he has just bought another garage in Pinhurst. Pinhurst is only five miles from Silbury, but Mr. Scott cannot get a telephone for his new garage, so he has just bought twelve pigeons. Yesterday, a pigeon carried the first message from Pinhurst to Silbury. The bird covered the distance in three minutes. Up to now, Mr. Scott has sent a great many requests for spare parts and other urgent messages from one garage to the other. In this way, he has begun his own private telephone service.

the sounds of American English
this is the sound that changes depending on the following sound. So it can either be a pure vowel or a modified vowel.
To make the pure AA vowel, the jaw drops quite a bit, AA.
the tip of the tongue stays forward, it's touching the back of bottom front teeth, AA.
The back of the tongue stretches up.
The tongue is wide, AA. Because the tongue is high in the back and low in the front, you can see a lot of it.
This is different as the vowel ah in the father vowel, for example, where the tongue presses down in the back and you see more dark space in the mouth.
You can also see the corners of the mouth pull back and up a little bit.
When AA is in a stressed syllable, the vowel will go up and come down in pitch; in an unstressed syllable, the vowel is flatter and lower in pitch,quieter.
重點(diǎn)來(lái)啦：完全蝴蝶音&不完全蝴蝶音掐场。it's not a pure vowel when it's followed by nasal consonants.

練習(xí)感悟：
今天念著念著就想唱歌顾孽，于是用唱歌的感覺(jué)念英語(yǔ)，不過(guò)回聽(tīng)的時(shí)候覺(jué)得還是不夠好府框，pigeon念的太重吱窝，其實(shí)拉長(zhǎng)i音就行；還有spare的蝴蝶音a嘴巴張的不夠大。
今天學(xué)習(xí)到AA音的不完全化現(xiàn)象院峡，發(fā)現(xiàn)自己原來(lái)一直讀錯(cuò)了好多音啊兴使，bang, bank, can, man
