我所歌頌的人
One's -Self I sing, a simple separate person,
我所歌頌的這個人遣铝,是一個簡單而又獨立的人雕沿,
Yet utter the word Democratic, the word En-Masse.
雖然存在“民主”這一詞挨决,“不完整”這一詞
Of physiology from top to toe I sing,
我贊美生物上的從頭到腳
Not physiognomy alone nor brain alone is worthy of Muse,
不是單獨是地理上的或者腦中的开镣,是值得給繆斯女神的,
I say the Form complete is worthier far,
我認為福姆完全值得更好的洪唐,
The Female equally with the Male I sing.
我歌頌男女平等淆党。
Of Life immense in passion, plus, and power,
為生命中最好的熱情、益處和權力珠闰,
Cheerful, for freest action from'd under the laws divine,
愉悅惜浅,為基于法律的神圣所帶來的自由行動,
The Modern Man I sing.
我所歌頌的 是現代人伏嗜。
As I PONDER'D IN SILENCE
我在沉默中思考
As I Ponder'd in silence,
我在沉默中思考坛悉,
Returning upon my poems, considering lingering long,
返回到我的詩中,我考慮了很久承绸,
A Phantom arose before me with distrustful aspect,
在我困惑的地方有一團火影裸影,
Terrible in beauty, age, and power,
可怕的美麗、年齡和力量军熏,
As to me directing like flame its eyes,
給我指引就像是眼里的光輝轩猩,
With finger pointing to many immortal songs,
用手指指出許多永恒的歌,
And menacing voice, What singest thou? it said,
伴隨著險惡的聲音“你最好的歌是什么”它說,
Know'st thou not there is but one theme for ever-enduring bards?
你不知道有一個題目是永遠忍受吟游詩人界轩?
And that is the theme of War, the fortune of battles,
那是一個關于戰(zhàn)爭的題目画饥,戰(zhàn)爭的命運,
The making of prefect soldiers.
它由優(yōu)秀的戰(zhàn)士書寫浊猾,
Be it so, then I answer'd,
我就這樣回答抖甘,
I too haughty Shade also sing war, and a longer and greater one than any,
我也為謝德驕傲,他所歌頌的戰(zhàn)爭比其他任何詩都長都完美葫慎,
Waged in my book with varying fortune, with flight, advance and retreat, victory deferred and wavering,
在我的書中開始不同的命運衔彻,逃走,前進和后退偷办,勝利延遲和動搖艰额,
(Yet methinks certain, or as good as certain, at the last,) the field the world,
然而我想我很確信,直到最后我都一樣確信椒涯,)該領域世界
For life and death, for the Body and for the eternal Soul,

Lo, I too am come, chanting the chant of battles,

I above all promote brave soldiers.
