這本書是丁丁歷險(xiǎn)記的第三本错森，講述了丁丁對抗跨國販毒集團(tuán)的故事±航啵跨國販毒集團(tuán)把毒品藏在了雪茄中涩维，利用海運(yùn)進(jìn)行走私，在丁丁和國際刑警的聯(lián)合行動中袁波，這個(gè)跨越埃及瓦阐，阿拉伯和印度的販毒網(wǎng)絡(luò)終被摧毀
毒品是一個(gè)很嚴(yán)重的國際問題。我曾在金三角旅居篷牌，附近有一間戒毒所睡蟋，近距離接觸過正在戒毒和戒毒成功人士，留下深刻印象枷颊。雖然金三角的毒品種植規(guī)模比以前少了很多戳杀，但是至今無法根除，原因有很多夭苗，土地貧瘠信卡，戰(zhàn)亂不斷，民族構(gòu)成復(fù)雜题造，當(dāng)?shù)卣疄楂@得稅收而監(jiān)管放松等等傍菇，但是本質(zhì)的問題是，如何讓當(dāng)?shù)厝嗣瘾@得較高收入來替代對罌粟的依賴界赔。
這本書中桥嗤，這個(gè)跨國販毒集團(tuán)在印度和英國殖民政府沆瀣一氣，也為下一本書《藍(lán)蓮花》中仔蝌，丁丁為追查販毒集團(tuán)蹤跡泛领，來到上海法租界英租界調(diào)查埋下伏筆。
